Mid-Year Motivation

We are halfway through the year! Can you believe it? Many of us are full of enthusiasm as we anticipate family cookouts and massaging our feet with sand as we relax on a beautiful beach. However, we may also be met with intrusive thoughts of time and never having enough of it. This is the time when we can all use some mid-year motivation. Something that I have realized is that the older I get, the faster the time goes by! This revelation can cause us to experience a lot of different emotions.

What Are You Feeling?

Sometimes it’s joy. Other times it’s fear. Or maybe you are feeling excitement or anxiousness. We take ourselves on an emotional rollercoaster and are often left feeling overwhelmed. We can get caught in the thought pattern of, “Well, this is just the way that this year is going, and I’ll just ride it out.” So we start to coast. But that doesn’t have to be the end of our story.

So let’s not get complacent. Let’s continue to be intentional. Be intentional about your goals, your relationships, and your life. Continue to go after your dreams. If you get off course, then recalculate so you can get back on track. Or maybe you need to do something different. Take a different turn, get outside of the box, and change your perspective. But don’t let yourself get in the way of what God is doing in your life because you have become complacent, gotten comfortable, and given up.

There is so much more life to live and moments to experience this year.
