Today, we celebrate our risen Savior. Jesus wasn’t a mere man who died a criminal’s death under the charge of claiming to be the son of God. He is God – God in the flesh. Jesus came down and dwelt among His creation. He took the sins of that very creation and put them on His body, wiping the slate clean as he willingly took on God’s wrath. Christ freely gave up His life so that we could live. He died, and then He was raised, defeating sin and death. Therefore, without the resurrection, we have no hope.

The Hope We Have In Christ
The resurrection is essential to the Gospel and our faith. For if there was no resurrection, what hope do we have? However, as it is written, Christ died for our sins, He was buried, and on the third day, He was raised. Through Him, we receive our salvation. Sin no longer stands between God and us. Because of Christ, we have been reconciled back to the Father, and we eagerly await Christ’s return when salvation becomes complete, granting us eternity with God.
Our forgiveness was secured on the cross, and victory was won when He arose. If He remained in the grave, there would be no hope for salvation, sanctification, justification, or glorification. Yet, we do not serve a God who is dead. He is alive! Our hope is in a living God whose Word has never fallen to the ground. Our faith is not worthless but assured. So we rejoice for the risen King in every season and circumstance. When we are tested, we hold onto this hope. While in the wilderness, we have hope. In seasons of lack and seasons of abundance, we continue to speak hope. Even in death, we hope because of the promise of eternity. There is expectation beyond the grave. Thus, we hold onto hope because He lives!
With Love,
Tamara
Scripture To Meditate On
“For I passed on to you as most important what I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,”
1 Corinthians 15:3-4
“And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins.”
1 Corinthians 15:17
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead”
1 Peter 1:3
“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, instructing us to deny godlessness and worldly lusts and to live in a sensible, righteous, and godly way in the present age, while we wait for the blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. He gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for himself a people for his own possession, eager to do good works.”
Titus 2:11-14
