The Fruitful Disciple
Jesus had set the stage. With the commissioning of the twelve, He gave authority to His disciples to shepherd His flock. Then, fast forward to Matthew 28:19, where Jesus gives the GREAT COMMISSION. Reminiscent of the charge given to Adam and Eve, it was a call to the twelve to be fruitful and multiply. Further, it was a call to Christians in every nation to take part in the gathering of souls for God’s glorious Kingdom. For that reason, we are God’s workers, called to share the Gospel for His holy harvest. Therefore, faithful followers of Christ are needed to plant and water as God grows His beautiful and abundant bounty, ushering in the resurrection to eternal life.
So be a fruitful disciple, with your prayers and your work. Share the Gospel, preach the Gospel, teach the Gospel. Be fruitful and multiply.
With Love,
Tamara
Scripture To Meditate On

‘Summoning his twelve disciples, he gave them authority over unclean spirits, to drive them out and to heal every disease and sickness. , ‘
‘Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”’
