The book of Revelation has easily become one of my favorites in the Bible. What used to trigger feelings of doom and gloom now offers hope and an everlasting peace that can only come from above. As I have grown in my knowledge of God and experienced His nature and love, it is no longer a book to be feared but a promise to hold onto. Because eternity is coming, and all will praise.

The Throne Room Of Heaven
It can be hard for us to imagine heaven. The glory we anticipate is nothing in comparison to what we will experience. The Apostle John, thrust into the Spirit, was gifted the opportunity to witness the grand and holy atmosphere of the throne room of heaven. Words left him as he tried his best to articulate with human language what he witnessed. He heard a voice like a trumpet and saw God, who had the appearance of a beautiful stone. The stunning sea of glass imagery he paints for us still fails to capture the vivid totality of what awaits us.
Yet, amid the beautiful picture forming in my mind as I read John’s words, one verse in particular stands out to me.
‘I heard every creature in heaven, on earth, under the earth, on the sea, and everything in them say, Blessing and honor and glory and power be to the one seated on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever! ‘
Every living creature, in heaven, on earth, and everywhere, sings praises to the Lord. Oh, what a mighty and beautiful sound that must be. God’s creation unifies and rightly worships the Father and Son as One. This verse leaves no room to doubt the deity of Christ and the glory of God. The ugliness of our time can make it difficult to imagine such a day. But such a day is coming! Because God’s Word is true and trustworthy. So we hold onto the hope of His Word as we live in a posture of worship and beckoning for more to join us.
