New Every Morning

The Lord is faithful and true. His love covers us with His righteousness, and His mercies are new every morning. For He is patient with us, consistently calling us to Himself. Like a good Father, He does not desire for any of us to perish but to find rest, safety, and comfort in Him.

Begin Again

How easy it is for us to run from God when the pressure of life begins to squeeze us. Or when we fall short and fail. The desire to pull away seems justified and at times even honorable. We cower in shame and attempt to hide ourselves from God like Adam and Eve in the Garden on that fateful day. Deep within us is a belief that we must do something to clean ourselves up before we are once again presentable to a holy God.

But our redemption-seeking works will never be good enough. They will never satisfy. It is only through the purifying work of Jesus that we are justified. So do not run away from but to God whenever life gets tough or when the flesh leads. Begin again by coming to the Father with a humble and receiving heart. Allow Him to embrace you with His unwavering compassion as you are filled with a transforming hope only He can provide.

With Love,

Tamara

Scripture To Meditate On

‘Because of the Lord ’s faithful love we do not perish, for his mercies never end. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness! ‘

Lamentations 3:22-23

‘Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens — Jesus the Son of God — let us hold fast to our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way as we are, yet without sin. Therefore, let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in time of need.’

Hebrews 4:14-16

‘Who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is the one who died, but even more, has been raised; he also is at the right hand of God and intercedes for us. ‘

Romans 8:34

‘Therefore, he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, since he always lives to intercede for them. ‘

Hebrews 7:25

‘My little children, I am writing you these things so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father — Jesus Christ the righteous one. He himself is the atoning sacrifice , for our sins, and not only for ours, but also for those of the whole world. ‘

1 John 2:1-2
