There is a lot of noise happening in the world. The news is on a twenty-four-hour loop, the rumor mill runs rampant, and opinion theology underscores viral think pieces trending on social media. However, as disciples, we must consistently evaluate our lives to determine if we are living a Colossians 3:17 life. So the question is, are you pointing to Jesus?

The Christian Life
The Christian life is a life that is not only surrendered to Christ but also points to Him. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible consistently reveals that Jesus is the Word, the Sacrifice, and the Salvation. It is through Him that we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28). Therefore, you must ask yourself, “Am I pointing to Jesus or myself?” With every post, interaction, and debate, are you sharing the Gospel of Christ or a gospel of your own making? Paul warns us to be mindful of false teachers, but what if the false teacher is you? Do you allow the noise of the world to dilute the voice of the Word?
Jesus was clear when He gave the Great Commission. It is His foundation that we build upon, not our own. We live for His agenda, not ours. Regardless of pain or persuasion, we do not neglect the Truth of the Word for the truth of the world. So live your life as a faithful servant of Christ. In your home, on your job, with your friends, before your opponents, and even online, consistently point to Christ.
With Love,
Tamara
Scripture To Meditate On
‘And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. ‘
‘Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”’
‘For no one can lay any foundation other than what has been laid down. That foundation is Jesus Christ. ‘
‘I am amazed that you are so quickly turning away from him who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel — not that there is another gospel, but there are some who are troubling you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, a curse be on him! As we have said before, I now say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, a curse be on him! ‘
