How comfortable we become in our structured lives. We plan our days, months, and years with the comfort of our tidy to-do lists. Family vacations, business retreats, and weddings are marked on our calendars. We move through life with a false assurance that tomorrow is promised. We convince ourselves that we have so much time, but Paul urges us that today is the day of salvation.

An Urgent Plea
When Jesus gave up His life for us, not only did He pay the penalty for our sins, but He also gave us the gift of salvation. His sacrifice reconciled us back to the Father, granting us access to enter His presence. Now, when God looks at us, He does not see the fall of humanity but the righteousness of Christ. Our only right response is surrender, submission, and reverence. The gift is available now, and God wants us to accept it. For the coming of Christ is fast approaching, and like a good Father, God pursues us fervently. However, as He constantly draws us to Himself, it is up to us to respond with a yes.
So today is the day of acceptance. Further, today is the day to be a worker of Christ, to be a disciple. Through word and deed, may our lives reflect our yes. Today is the day to serve His will and not our own. Let’s not receive the grace of God in vain, but let us live as the new creations He created us to be through the ministry of reconciliation, thus making us the righteousness of God.
With Love,
Tamara
Scripture To Meditate On
“Working together with him, we also appeal to you, “Don’t receive the grace of God in vain.” For he says: At an acceptable time I listened to you, and in the day of salvation I helped you. , See, now is the acceptable time; now is the day of salvation! ”
2 Corinthians 6:1-2
“For the love of Christ compels us, since we have reached this conclusion, that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all so that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for the one who died for them and was raised.”
2 Corinthians 5:14-15
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come! Everything is from God, who has reconciled us to himself through Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation. ”
2 Corinthians 5:17-18
“Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf, “Be reconciled to God.” He made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
2 Corinthians 5:20-21
