As we bask in the season of holiday cheer, many of us are preparing gifts for loved ones, family, and friends. If you are anything like me, then you love gift-giving. For me, it’s not just the gift itself, but the overall experience – the thought, the intention, the care put into each packaging and bow. When I give a gift, I want the person to experience love, appreciation, and warmth. However, while I take pride in the attention to detail I put into choosing and offering a present, there is another whose heart is much bigger and whose gift is much grander. God, the ultimate gift-giver, gave us the gift of Christ.

The Gift Of Christ
The heart of God can be perfectly summed up in John 3:16. “For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” Through Christ, God has given us forgiveness, salvation, and eternity. Because of His unwavering grace and steadfast faithfulness, we have been redeemed. It is not by works we have done but only the willingness and desire of the Father to reconcile us back to Himself. Through His birth, death, and resurrection, we live. By faith, we are saved, and through His Holy Spirit we are transformed. So this season, as we gather in homes exchanging perfectly wrapped boxes with elaborate bows, let us remember the precious gift given to humanity – the Messiah.
With Love,
Tamara
Scripture To Meditate On
‘For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.’
‘For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift — ‘
‘Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. ‘
