Who is God? Who is this God that we serve, worship, and pray to? I think these are important questions to meditate on as believers. Because God isn’t an idea or a philosophy but He is the one who spoke and life was born. He is the beginning and the end. Our human ability cannot fully comprehend the fullness of who He is. He is that big and expansive. But in our seeking, we begin to understand the heart of God, learn the voice of God, and surrender to the Spirit of God. We discover the nature of God.

Who Am I?
This is a common question of humanity. “Who am I?” Well, I believe the answer to that is found in the answer to “Who is God?” Discovering who we are begins with who God is. God is the Father of creation. Even when we don’t know ourselves, he still knows us. He sees us. He calls us, for He created us.
Finding My Identity
I have learned that my true identity can only be found in Christ. I’m not trusting in the me that my experiences have created, my knowledge has developed, or the me that society has tried to influence me to be. I’m not even trusting in the me that trauma has tried to force me to be. I am trusting in the me that was created by God. God, who is full of love, peace, patience, and purpose. He is the God who is infinite, eternal, and omnipresent. The God who is and always will be.
Surender
When we know the nature of God we know Him. And oh how easier it is for us to surrender the things that don’t serve Him when we know His nature. If you are in this place where you are trying to figure out who you are, figure out who God is. Because then you will discover that you are His creation. You are a creation here to serve His will and His purpose. To know the nature of God is to know God. That has been my constant prayer lately. “Lord, let me know you.”
Scripture To Meditate On
”For the entire fullness of God’s nature dwells bodily in Christ,“
My prayer is simple today. “Lord allow us to know you. Give us the capacity to know you. To know your nature. Gives us the wisdom to understand your nature. Amen.”
With Love,
Tamara
