Light. The tiniest flicker of a candle cannot be hidden. That’s how powerful light is. The words beautifully expressed in Psalm 67 come from the Aaronic Blessing in Numbers 6:24-26. This blessing was pronounced upon the people by the High Priest of Israel. When God shines on us, we must shine bright for God.

God’s Glory
When I think about God’s face shining on us, I think about Glory. I envision a brightness that is hard to comprehend. I imagine a light so perfect that the only correct response would be like those in the Throne Room of Heaven singing Holy, Holy, Holy (Revelation 4:8). As believers, we are called to be light in the world (Matthew 5:14). This is a great responsibility as we are to reflect the light Jesus has shown on us. So, how do we do this? With the boldness, truth, and love of God. We are to illuminate the darkness with our walk and testimony. Our lives are to reflect Christ.
Therefore, we are not to cower away or remain hidden. Our transformation in Christ is not for our glory but God’s. It is His light that directs us and leads us down the path He has planned for us. We are His vessels, lighting up the world. Our good works, rooted in Him and His purposes, cause others to glorify God. So don’t live a life of isolation. Do not be ashamed of the Gospel. Instead, shine bright for the Lord.
