Roots are strong. They are a firm anchor. The system of its support is extensive and widespread, absorbing life-giving nutrients from the soil. Like a strong and stable tree, when we are rooted in Christ, we are firmly established and primed for growth.

The Knowledge of Christ
The knowledge of Christ is our foundation. He is our very source of life. So we are not thrown and uprooted by life’s turbulent winds or deceived by the newest philosophies of the day. Instead, our confidence and hope remain steadfast because of the one we are rooted in. Since He is everlasting and unchangeable, we too are immovable. Unlike the world’s wisdom, ever evolving and contradicting with every new thought and think-piece shared on a scroll.
Heavenly wisdom, God’s wisdom, is never-ending and true, bearing fruit of righteousness and holiness. It holds the promise of salvation, redemption, and eternity. So we allow Christ to be our bread of life, nourishing our bodies and souls with His Word. We tend to the unseen roots of our hearts with the pruning power of the Spirit. Our roots form in our dark, hidden, and quiet places of our lives. Here, in this secret place, is the beginning of a beautiful and flourishing garden. So we are not idle with our time or witness. As we study His Word, love our neighbor, and care for those in need, we do so even more. For as our fruit grows, so do our roots, bearing the weight of our bloom.
With Love,
Tamara
“So then, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to walk in him, being rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing with gratitude.”
Colossians 2:6-7
‘In him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. ‘
‘It is from him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom from God for us — our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption — ‘
‘For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. ‘
‘ “I am the bread of life,” Jesus told them. “No one who comes to me will ever be hungry, and no one who believes in me will ever be thirsty again.’
