There continues to be much talk about the way to heaven. Entire dissertations are dedicated to discovering whose right and whose wrong. However, God’s Word tells us there is no other name by which humanity is saved. That name is Jesus.

Teaching With Boldness
As Peter and John stood before the religious leaders about the good deed (Acts 4:8) done to a disabled man, they did not crumble in defeat or cower to their demands. Instead, being filled with the Holy Spirit, they spoke God’s truth with boldness and authority. These untrained and uneducated (Acts 4:13) men were no match for the Jewish authority, since they were not trained in the walls of synagogues but at the feet of God.
Consequently, the Apostles, called by Christ and having the Spirit of God dwell in them, were able, with full confidence and assurance, to proclaim that Jesus is the ONLY WAY to salvation. Their confidence, fully rooted in the teaching and fellowship with Christ, empowered them to stand before opposition and under the threat of imprisonment with God’s TRUTH on their lips. Thus, unable to stop speaking about what they had seen and heard (Acts 4:20), they continued in the teachings of the Lord, and thousands were added to God’s Church.
The Same Spirit
Let this serve as a reminder to us that we, too, are empowered with the same Spirit. We too can pray for boldness and receive it. Therefore, as Disciples, we mustn’t stop testifying to the truth of who Christ is. The world may doubt and disparage Him. They may pervert His teachings and His name. The world may offer many ways, but we know there is ONLY ONE WAY. His name is Jesus.
