As we round out the last few days of 2024, many reflect on the previous twelve months and cast a vision for the next. Each year is full of highs and lows, excitement and devastation, pleasant surprises and unfortunate events. Yet and still, year after year, we get out our journals and boards and begin to dream big again. I’ve always loved the idea of setting goals and intentions. However, as I have matured in my faith, my vision board looks a little different. These aren’t just my goals but God’s Goals. So let’s do something new. Learn how to set your God Goals for 2025.

What Are God-Goals?
God-Goals are goals or desires that are birthed out of a place of intimacy with God. They are Holy Spirit-led and completely surrendered to the Father. These goals are not about selfish ambition but holy assignment. When you set God-Goals, you aim to do the will of the Father.
Pray About It
So how do you set God-Goals? Pray about it. As believers, we should always lead with prayer. Spend these last few days of 2024 and even the beginning of 2025 in deep reflection and communion with God. Remove all distractions, perhaps go on a fast, and get quiet. Allow God to minister to your spirit. Let 2025 be the year of spiritual maturity, growth, and alignment.
Surrender It
What do you do if you are unsure of what God is calling you to do? Surrender it. I love that one of the translations for the word give in Hebrew is exchange. This has become my constant prayer, “Lord, exchange my desires for your desires.” As we deepen our relationship with Christ, He begins to transform us from the inside out. A beautiful fruit of that is the evolution of our desires. We begin to desire what God GIVES us to desire. His desires are planted within us to complete His perfect will for our lives and His overall purpose. It is a beautiful illustration of a relationship with God.
So don’t be afraid to share your desires with the Lord. We should, however; share them in a posture of surrender. Think of laying your desires down on your vision board as an act of submission. Pray that God will confirm it is in His will. If not, offer these desires in exchange for His.
‘Take delight in the Lord , and he will give you your heart’s desires. ‘
Steward It
Finally, steward it. From the very moment a goal, intention, or desire is planted in our hearts, we should be stewarding it to see it to completion. We must be active in how we prepare and care for the God-Goals we are believing God for. A God-Goal must be nurtured from conception to completion. This takes diligence, discipline, and commitment.
God-Goals Vision Board Journal
I created the God-Goals Vision Board Journal to empower us to rethink the way we do vision boards. Surrender is the main goal. I want to live a life fully surrendered to God and I pray that through my actions I inspire you to do the same. Additionally, I wanted to create it in a way that felt intentional, actionable, and measurable. The God-Goals journal is a monthly vision board journal that encourages a pattern of intimacy and surrender from January to December.
