How many times have you read the Bible…THE WHOLE BIBLE? According to the study, The Books Americans Are Reading – And What That Reveals About Us, 1 in 5 of all American adults have read the entire Bible. New Testament scholar Scot Mcknight wrote in 2010 that he suspects only 25% of church members have read the Bible cover to cover. It’s hard to know the exact percentage since very little research has been done but it is a fascinating question. The Bible instructs us to not only be hearers of the Word but doers as well. (James 1:22) But how can we do that if we do not read it? Below are five studies to help you read the Bible in a year so you know what it says and why it says it.

God Is The Word
How can we profess to serve a God, follow a God, and love a God we do not know? We know God when we read and study His Word. Jesus says that His sheep know His voice. (John 10:27) He speaks to us on every page of the Bible.
This is the time of year when many people begin thinking about their New Year Resolutions. While every day is a great day to begin something new, reading the whole Bible from start to finish is a great goal to set for next year. But start today. Open God’s Word. Meditate on His holy Scriptures. Allow Him to transform your heart.
But be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
With Love,
Tamara
