It’s mid-January already, and yet there is still a sense of newness and renewal in the air. We are expectant and hopeful for what this year will bring. Our prayers are big and bold, and faith appears unwavering. However, there is a greater hope we can hold onto, a promise and an assurance given to us by our holy Father. We look forward to the day when He makes all things new. We look forward to eternity.

The New Creation
One day, there will be no more grief, no more tears, and no more pain. God will wipe every teary eye. He will dwell with humanity, His people, His creation, in the new Jerusalem. The holy city, arrayed with God’s glory, will be our home. We will marvel at the radiance and the pure gold of its streets. Jasper, sapphire, and topaz will surround us. A gate of pure pearl will welcome us. We will rest in the temple of God that is Himself and enjoy the illumination of the Lamb. There will be no sin, for only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of Life will enter into it.
This is what we hope for. This is what we long for: to spend eternity with Him in His perfect creation with His redeemed people. So we patiently and expectantly wait for that day. That glorious day when God makes all things new.
With Love,
Tamara
Scripture To Meditate On
‘Then the one seated on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new.” He also said, “Write, because these words are faithful and true.” ‘
‘I did not see a temple in it, because the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, because the glory of God illuminates it, and its lamp is the Lamb. ‘
‘“For I will create new heavens and a new earth; the past events will not be remembered or come to mind. Then be glad and rejoice forever in what I am creating; for I will create Jerusalem to be a joy and its people to be a delight. I will rejoice in Jerusalem and be glad in my people. The sound of weeping and crying will no longer be heard in her. ‘
