What Is Advent?
So what is Advent and what does it mean? The word “advent” means arrival. Advent is a season of anticipation and celebration to commemorate the birth of Jesus as the Messiah. Christians worldwide celebrate this time with intentional reflection on hope, peace, and love. It is a time to remember who Jesus is, why He came, and what He did. Instead of falling into the stress of gift wrapping and family dinners that this season brings, let’s meditate on our Savior: His nature, love, and the gift of salvation. For He truly is God With Us.
