With Love Day right around the corner, many are gearing up for public displays of affection. Flower arrangements are being ordered, large teddy bears are being stuffed in back seats, balloon arches are being designed and marriage proposals are being planned down to the last detail. Love is in the air. While beautiful, let us remember who the author of love is: God. God, the creator of everything from our bodies to emotions, is sovereign even over love. So what does Scripture teach us about love? Below are 20 Bible verses on love to help us love and receive love, God’s way.

Love Is Sacrificial
